Antique Chinese snuff bottle made of blue glass and internatlly painted on both sides. Jade stopper. Chien-lung. Ovoid shaped bottle made of blue glass. Wonderful painting both front and back inside the glass. One side depicts a man walking in a landscape. Over one shoulder he carries a lantern. In the other hand he holds a large hat on a stick. He walks under bent, gnarled trees. Mountains and fields in the distance. Colours are mainly blue, black, white and a little orange on his back. The other side is a classic Chinese river / landscape. Delicately painted trees on one side, a river with rocks protruding, behind which are wonderful cloud-covered mountains. A tiny building nestles under the trees and if you look very closely, you will see a tiny man fishing from a pavilion. Again, tones of blue, black, white and orange.
