An ethereal rendition of Kannon on a Nokyo-jiku,
pilgrimage scroll. Ink on silk.
37 shuin, Buddhist and/or Shinto Temple seals and stamps surround the drawing of Kannon.
Overlapping the seals, very beautiful calligraphy by the temples' priests, brush-written inscriptions to attest the Junreisha/Pilgrim's visit to the Temple.

The most prominent seal, middle of the top three, carries the 16-petal kiku/chrysanthemum imperial seal. Most probably from the Meiji Jingu Shrine, devoted to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken.
