A well-modelled cat shown coiled on a circular base which surrounded by Bo-Shan(mountain ridges) with head turned and resting on its back, the tail emerging in the center and three paws together at the front. Comparing to the pieces we’ve usually seen in obvious bronze material and was gilt on the surface, this tiger weight was calcified totally and was covered with the burial BaoJiang(the mineral coatings). Obviously had been excavated for a long time and had been passed for generations, verified by the slippery-feel, darken-hue surface and some later-added red pigment, the heavy weight was preserved as a very good object for a paper weight or a curiosity for treasuring and no need to be worried about the further oxidation of the metal. Even though the weight was covered heavily with mineral coating, the features of the beast was well defined. And the bulging muscle are well rendered and was full of strenuous form.
