A recumbent beast was shown with its head turned back and slightly tilting upwards. The Bixie was well carved with protruding eyes, ruyi-shaped nose, curved ears and single-horned head. By vividly depicted ribs on its abdomen and the flouring hairs of the tails, the fairy beast was rest on the flat bottom in plain form-an important characteristic for early jade carvings.
