German Lithograph. Blue; red; cream; black; gold leaf. Paper; glass; wood. This framed, hand colored and gold leafed print is of a king holding an orb, with a large gold leafed cross on his chest. A large shield with a golden cross stands next to him. A man floats up to him holding a gold box. Old German script identifies the scene. It is titled, "Friedrich Barbarossa als Kreuzfahrer." It is from a painting done in 1188.
