A wonderful antique five-light chandelier featuring its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. The chandelier begins with an intricate canopy adorned with a band of egg-and-dart detailing with acanthus leaves followed by a leaf-and-dart patterned band. Below, five chains descend from a ring composed of foliates and volutes to support an elaborate chandelier base. The fixture features a circular body with five arms extending outward to support gadrooned bobeches with berry motifs. Acanthus adorned sections run from the outer ring to the center of the chandelier, which finishes in a complimentary finial that repeats the foliate and berry motifs found throughout the fixture. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 15-3/4†wide and 18-1/2†tall, and the fixture is 33†long overall.
