This is a wonderful antique Art Deco five-light chandelier with its original sit-in or “pudding-bowl†shades. Dating from the 1930’s, the chandelier begins with an understated nickel canopy, coming down in a chain to a simple loop finial. Below, a flared bowl perches above the fixture's streamlined framework which is composed of curved rods. Five slender arms extend from the center of the chandelier, each ending in a simple shade holder. The shade holders support white pudding bowl shades ornamented with ribbed detailing and bands of stylized leaves . The chandelier finishes in a nickel platform with a teardrop-shaped finial. This light fixture is in very good condition, and the shades are also in very good antique condition with the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The light fixture measures 21†wide, 14-1/4†tall (body only), and 25†long overall.
