Charming antique fireplace mantel with wonderfully carved details, c. 1910. The mantel is topped with a back piece featuring a slender shelf accented with a band of beaded detailing. Below, the protruding shelf features beveled edges and perches above a substantial section flanked with carved embellishments reminiscent of a stylized strap hinge. Two Tuscan columns support the two-part mantle shelf and compliment the simplicity of the mantel nicely. This fireplace mantel is in excellent antique condition and has been painted white. It measures approximately 60-1/2" wide, 57-3/4" tall, and 12†deep; the firebox opening is approximately 42" wide and 42" tall.
