A stately antique Tudor cast iron fireplace fender, dating from the early 1900s and salvaged from a home in Fort Wayne, IN. Originally used to confine burning coals to the hearth, the fireplace fender features a u-shaped framework of hand-wrought, twisted and straight rods; small twisted balusters support and connect the framework. The bumper is in very good condition with the expected wear, as pictured. It measures approx. 43†wide, 7-1/4" tall, and 12-1/4†deep.
