This a beautiful antique five-light Art Deco chandelier with original slip-in shades by Moe Bridges, circa 1931, found in a house in downtown Nashville. Part of the Croydon series, this chandelier begins with a top finial that is ornamented with a leaf detail and swoops down to the body of the chandelier with polychrome crested bands. The silver plated body of the fixture features volute, foliate, and floral designs with silver column clusters between each slip shade. The original slipper shades display lattice work surrounding crested shields. The chandelier finishes with a complementary foliate embellished rounded base and a small acorn finial. The light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is in very good condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabite around the edges. The chandelier body measures 16-3/16" wide, 17-1/2" tall, and the fixture is 32" long overall. The coordinating chandelier is also available with item number NC1507-RW.
