Antique silver table bell made by Gorham & Co., during the 19th century. Approximately 5 1/2 inches tall. Base is 2 7/8 inches in diameter. Good and solid - silver is weighted. Classic bell shape with Renaissance style repousse decoration. Fabulous masks, figures, animals and scrolls encircle the entire outer surface. The inside has engraved GORHAM CO 015 and OLD FLORENTINE BELL. No hallmarks, so this must be considered silver plate as is to be expected on a weighted piece. However, the quality of the workmanship is great. Good original condition.
