Antique Wilton English Rug, early twentieth centuryThis lovely antique Wilton carpet is the epitome of taste and elegance. Coming out of the British Arts and Crafts movement, it evokes the graceful floral designs of William Morris wallpapers and textiles from the later nineteenth century, although in a softer palette more appropriate to modern decor.
