Antique ‘Tuduc/ Tadouk’ Rug, Early 20th Century Highly prized Mamluk carpets are the inspiration for this unique ‘Tuduc/Tadouk’ rug. Theodor Tuduc (1888-1983) was a well known weaver of reproductions who copied many of the great classic designs. Mamluk rugs were woven from the 15th century onwards and are now rare, hard to find and generally only in museums. This could possibly be one of the reproductions from the Tuduc atelier.
