This Sultanabad carpet features an ogival, arched medallion flanked by complementary pendants and scalloped spandrels. The celadon field, which displays a variegated abrash, is decorated with isolated motifs, including octofoils and floral medallions that support the formal composition and soft ivory, celadon and cerise color scheme. Traditional boteh guardbands and ornate turtle borders frame the field and central medallion.
