Here a grand central sea-foam medallion floats amidst cornerpieces of similar form and color, while a welter of finely proportioned branches jut across the intervening red field. A classic Persian arabesque palmette border on a ivory ground encloses the central composition, continuing its fine, ornamental detail while utilizing a difference in color to frame the field with a pleasing contrast.
