Divided into four quadrants, this unique medallion carpet uses traditional guls, botehs, and reciprocating fretwork borders associated with tribal carpets produced by Kazakh tribes in the Caucasus and across the Eurasian Steppe. The Asian fretwork accents show Khotanese adaptations of preexisting styles.
