Antique Khotan Oriental Rug, Early 20th century This antique Khotan rug has a delicate, blue-and-cream palette. Three round, floral medallions occupy the field. Two corners of the rug are filled by fret-work motifs in soft blue; they are repeated at the other end in cream. The Yun-T’sai-T’uo border (a combination of ram’s horn and wave elements) anchors this elegant piece.
