Antique Khotan Oriental Rug, circa 1900 - Serrated oval medallions in soft golden tan hover across the pale cocoa-aubergine field of this scintillating antique Khotan. Tiny vases spewing flowering vines and cloudbands fill the intervening space. A striking border of star rosettes and angular ornaments reminiscent of Kufic script encloses the field, giving the whole design a remarkably harmonious effect in terns of color and ornamental texture.
