The main border of palmettes and quatrefoils is set against a soft blue ground, inversely echoing the color scheme of the field, while the flanking minor cartouche borders revert to a soft sand ground. The scintillating, diamond-like glitter of the design is heightened by the lustrous sheen of the plush wool pile.
