Pre-Victorian, circa 1830 Early Staffordshire Sherratt-type table base bocage figure of Saint Peter. Title on a plaque at the front. Saint Peter is kneeling on the ground holding a sword in his right hand, and with keys in his left. A larger key lies on the ground below. There is a bible on one side of the tree and a cockerel on the other side. Decorated all round. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. Chips to feet. A few paint losses to reverse of tree. Kiln effects: glaze miss to right leg; touch mark to head. Repair to neck and sword. Top left and top right bocage sections rebuilt. Old repairs to two table feet. Restored flake to right hand bocage. 10.75ins high
