Saint Roch originaly of Italy 1348-1379, was the patron saint who recovers from the plague. Introduced to Philipine culture through the Spanish Who celebrate the St. Rochi, or San Roque as the Filipino culture calls him and has named a twon after the saint. Standing and showing his wound as most iconology represents the Saint. This statue is a solid wood block carving of the Saint that is then attatched to the stand. All original this statue was collected in the Philopines, Iloilo.Circa late 1800's Size Overall Dimensions 20" H X 8.5" W X 5" D 50.8cm H X 21.6cm W X 12.7cm D.
