For Sale I have a nice piece of pottery made by the Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Vase and the pattern is known as "Delsa". The Vase measures 4 3/4" tall and is approximately 5" in diameter at the widest part of the belly. The inside opening of the Vase is 3 1/4" wide. The Vase depicts Delicate Flowers on a branch with leaves. The Flowers are glazed in Pale Lavender and the the Flower Centers are Glazed in Brown. The Leaves are a soft Sage to Moss Green. This Floral motif is set on a Baby Blue Glaze that has an indented swirl and mock hammered background. There are three applied feet and twig style handles to finish the piece along with a scalloped flared rim. The Vase is in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is signed on the bottom with the Weller incised Script Signature. There is also the letter M or Z for the finishers mark in grease pencil and number 4 incised under the Weller signature which is the shape number in this pattern. The Vase was made during Weller's Late Period, Circa 1935-1948.
