Here is a rare example of a very early 3 medallion German beaker. It has a king, a lady and a knight on each of its 3 medallions, see photos. Rare subject matter. Unfortunately missing the funnel top, unrestored, as excavated. A similar trichterhalsbecher, dating to the same period, but with the Hapsburg Eagle motif, and also missing its top, is illustrated in the book “German Stoneware†by Gaimster, color plate 8. (see last photo). A rare example of rare late medieval - early renaissance pottery, excavated in Germany and from a German collection.
