For Sale I have a very nice piece of Art Pottery made by The Fulper Pottery Company of Flemington, NJ. The Shape is considered a "Swollen Tapered" Form. It is fairly large as it stands 7 1/2" tall and is 6" in diameter at the shoulder. The top opening is 3 7/8" in diameter at the top outside measurement. The inside Hole has an opening of 2 1/4". The Vase has a beautiful form with an even better Glaze. The Vase depicts a nice deep Rick Rose Famille under glaze with and even nicer Sage Green Flambé over glaze. The way the Green Flambé runs from the mouth of the Vessel into the body is a real favorite amongst Fulper Pottery Collectors. When you buy Fulper its all about the Glazes and this one is no exception. The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There are the usually Glaze pin pops at several places around the vase. It is signed with the Vertically Stamped Incised "Fulper" inside and oval racetrack mark. This is somewhat obscured by the Glaze but you can still see it. This piece is Shape number 537 in the Fulper Catalog Pages. Fulper pottery used a incised stamp mark as noted above from around 1916 to approximately 1922. This mark is often found on some of Fulper's better examples. This is a very nice example of this form and glaze and I'm sure the lucky buyer will not be disappointed. This piece would work well in any Mission or Arts and Crafts decor.
