Brown and yellow 1980 limited edition Sleepy Eye stein, number 102/500, includes certificate of authenticity. Features an indian head on one side and an indian campsite scene on the opposite (with three trees, two teepees and an indian kneeling at a fire). Handle features an indian’s head at the top. Mark on bottom features a large leaf with “1980, Western Stoneware” written inside. Just underneath the leaf “Limited Edition” and “No. 102” appear. “USA” is imprinted to the right of the leaf. Stands 7 1/4” tall and measures 4 3/8” diameter (bottom).

Certificate of authenticity reads: “This is to certify that Sleepy Eye Stein No. -102- is one of consecutively numbered limited edition of 500 issued in the year 1980. A copy of this certificate of proof is in the possession of Western Stoneware. One cancellation proof is also in the possession of Western Stoneware. I declare the above information to be correct. Signed “D P Gough” Derek P. Gough, President, Western Stoneware.” The certificate also features an indian head with “Old Sleepy Eye” written underneath and Western Stoneware’s emblem. Certificate has been folded into fourths, rolled and shows some wear.
