Very nice French sofa/settee special designed in Louis XVI style.

The sofa was re-upholstered with typical French gobelin Fabric. The handmade decorated wooden frame has been regilted recently

New fabric and new gold leaf, typical French style. The sofa is sturdy and ready to be used for many years. There is a famous French story shown on the fabric of the item. The story is a painting on fabric, implicit the hunting in France which was restricted and it was a traditional privilege of the upper classes. After the Revolution ended, hunting was no longer an activity reserved for the aristocracy. The sofa has been restorarated and regigled bringing the expense of the quality of the living room.
