The inspiration for this stylish mantle clock comes from the Itailian pioneer of radio, Guglielmo Marconi. Marconi's work in the development of wireless radio was quite literally a quantum leap in the field of human communication, comtributing greatly to the advancement of the modern world. The design of the Marconi 2 shows the first experimental radio waves being transmitted across the Atlantic in 1901. The three curved lines in the middle of the clock symbolize radio signals radiating outwards from the V shaped transmitter into space. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Back of clock stamped with Echo of Deco logo, signed Malcolm Akerman. Clock is 6" tall and 9" wide. Requires 1 AA battery. Individually hand crafted and designed.
