Circa 1960's
An incredible piece of history. This is the scope from an M56 scorpion tank destroyer. This aluminum tank was dropped into the battlefield from an airplane along with the 82nd Airborne. The M56 tank destroyer had little or no protection for the crew. They were assigned with the task of eliminating the enemy's tanks. Because of the light weight, this tank was highly maneuverable and could reach high rates of speed. The tank was equipped with 30 or more shells for a 90mm gun. The scope is constructed of aluminum and brass and retains the original paint. The optics are truly first rate and offer incredible and clear vision near and far, it is fully adjustable. The scope was used for sighting the gun. It is offered with a custom made stand.
