Rare, antique late 19th century, unusual Islamic dagger of the lords of the desert, known as Tuareg, Telek or Gozma.
Details: Tapered double edged blade, with bone inlaid beveled hardwood grip, fitted with elaborate profiled brass mounts.
In its original, leather covered, metal scabbard with brass chape and locket engraved in geometrical pattern.
CONDITION: Showing signs of usage and wear, leather casing of the metal scabbard chipped.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length of the dagger, sheathed in the scabbard: 40.8 cm (16 1/8 in).
