Antique 19th century Cretan Greek dagger Bichaq in the Islamic Turkish Ottoman form. DETAILS: A sturdy single – edged blade cut with short fullers mounted with ear shaped bone grips-scales retained by three brass rivets with incised circles and dots decoration, in its leather –covered wooden scabbard.
The engraving on the blade depicting map of island Crete with Greek writhing and the date 1951 is a leather addition.
MEASUREMENTS: The overall length in the scabbard is 25.4 cm (10 in).
