Wedgwood teapot with figural finial in black basalt, made England, early to mid 19th century.Measures 5 1/2inches high.Pear shaped, smoothe black basalt with unadorned surface. The only decoration is a fine figurine of a seated woman, serving as the finial on the lid. We are told that she is a Biblical figure, the Widow of Zerepath.
