Set of Richard Alcock Covered Ironstone Circa. 1880 England. Two items. Each Richard Alcock. One the smaller version of the other. The larger covered dish is stamped "Richard Alcock, Burselem, Staffordshire" The smaller covered dish is Imperial Ironstone China, Richard Alcock. Both are in excellent condition. The only noticeable marks are in the larger dish. Inside there are 3 small marks where pieces were stacked during firing. Otherwise, both items are in absolutely excellent condition. Both could be used to serve food, hold hairbrushes in the bathroom, etc. Very versatile. The large item measures 7 inches to the top of the lid, 13 inches wide (handle to handle) and 7 1/2 inches deep. The bowl itself is 3 1/4 inches high. The smaller item measures 5 1/2 inches to the top of the lid, 10 1/2 inches wide (handle to handle) and 6 1/2 inches deep. Larger unit weighs approximately 3 lbs, the smaller unit 1 1/2 lbs. In excellent condition.
