A powerful alliance of native South American and Spanish motifs meets in this Eighteenth Century drinking cup of mine-grade Bolivian silver. Six leafy arches festoon its sides, bordered top and bottom by chained rims; the handle is a floral ogee. It is in excellent, lustrous condition and bears scratched-in initials of previous owner, or owners, underneath, and is approximately 3-1/2 inches tall, with a three-inch diameter for the cup and approximately 4-1/4 inches at the handle. (For a similar example, please see Trocadero item 111167.)
