Vintage spider brooch / pin. 14carat gold set with garnet and opal. Made circa 1950. Approximately 1 1/2 inches long. Weighs approx 8.5grams. Length of garnet approx 11mm (1/2 inch); Diameter of opal 5mm ( a little under 1/4 inch). Naturalistically modelled spider with elegant long legs, little pincers and a wonderful sparkling opal with great iridescence and a deep red garnet as his body. Very well made, fun piece.
