Georgian Ring Circa. 1830 - 1840 British A late-Georgian rose diamond ring. 7 stones, graduated in size down from the center stone on both sides. What makes this ring so special is the whiteness and clarity of the rose cut diamonds. During this period, the rose cuts were generally of that grayish, cloudy color. These stones are not. The center stone is a full 1/4 inch in height. All diamonds tested with a diamond tester. Also, the backs are open....which indicates that this ring is of the late Georiain/Early Victorian era. The tops and settings are silver. The shank 15k gold, tested with 15k acid. Total diamond weight on the seven stones is approximately 1.45 carats. Size 6 3/4 2.4 gr. 1.5 dwt. The ring is in pristine original condition. There are indications on the shank that it was sized (long ago) in the past. A superb antique ring with lovely rose diamonds!
