Costume pearls, double strand of graduated imitation pearls, which have, rather surprisingly, a 9ct gold clasp with a full British hallmark for Birmingham 1966. (The photo doesn't show the gold in the best light - it needs a slight clean). Maker's mark is Ciro (Ciro are an old-established costume jewellery company in London). The pearls are in extremely good condition with no peeling or yellowing. Total length is 40 cm for the shortest strand. Beads are graduated from 5 mm to 8.5 mm diameter.
