Peacock brooch / pin dating from the Arts and Crafts / Art Nouveau era. Unmarked, but possibly 18K gold with clear and green rhinestones. Measures 1 1/2inches top to bottom.Sculpted peacock. The body is entirely covered in rhinestones- possibly / marcasites. The huge, fan tail, composed of finely worked gold / gold washed metal is set with green synthetic stones. Super-fine detail down to the heart-shaped end of the lock. No hallmark found. Very good condition.Peacocks were a popular Arts and Crafts and Nouveau subject.
