Antique, Art Deco ring. 18carat white gold set with a large peridot, offset by diamonds. Made circa 1920. US size 7 1/4. Weighs 6.6grams. Peridot is 9.49 carats. Tiny diamonds probably total 1/3-12 carat. Stunning ring with a beautiful, large peridot taking center stage. Cut with facets, the stone shows off beautifully, and as the light plays with the gem, it reflects from deep to yellow-green. Great sparkle and clarity. The shoulders and tops of the hoop are filigree cells, set with diamonds, like overlapping foliage. Viewed from the back, we can see the luxurious quality of this great Art Deco piece of workmanship: the stone is set in an arching cage of light rounded fans. The ring is hallmarked 18k.
