Attractive and unusual square cameo brooch. Genuine shell cameo, with a 9ct gold mount. Nice detail of rope-beading and twisted ribbon work to the mount. Hallmarked at rear, for Birmingham (England) 1971 (could also be 1996, but the W is more like the shape for 1971). 9ct gold. Brooch measures 35 mm by 35 mm (1.3/8 inches square). Excellent condition.
