18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring. Pretty cornflower blue Ceylon sapphires x 3 and diamonds x 2. Maker's mark is H & D. Face of ring measures 15 mm wide by 4 mm deep (9/16 inch by 1/8 inch). Ring has had some wear. Under magnification there is wear-down to some of the claws. The band is fairly fine, but as all hallmarks are in place, so it probably was always a dainty band and total weight of ring is 1.78 grams, so very fine. English size O (USA size 7) with an internal diameter of 17.35 mm. Dates probably from early to mid 20th century.
