Unusual sapphire and diamond ring - 10 stones in all, set in a diagonal pattern across the face of the 18ct yellow gold ring. Ring face measures 6 mm by 16 mm (1/4 inch by 5/8 inch). Scroll detail to shoulders. Maker's mark inside band is DHJ. Full British hallmark for 18ct gold, made in London 1977. Ring fitting is English size R (USA size 8.3/4) with an internal diameter of 18.79 mm. Condition: some minor facet abrading to sapphires, and some damage to one stone, some small nicks, but all only visible under a loupe, and commensurate with age. Very nice coloured junior navy sapphires of good quality.
