Elegant pair of vintage cufflinks, cornelian (carnelian) mounted in rolled gold. Second link is bordered and stripe engraved. Stamped to the rear Germany, Rolled Gold. Cornelian can be engraved, and is frequently used for seals and signet rings. Face of cufflinks measures 13mm by 17mm (1/2 inch by 5/8 inch). Some minor wear to the rear of the second link, otherwise in excellent condition. Probably dates around mid 20th century, could be earlier.
