Victorian gold and amethyst earrings in exceptional design. Made 19th century, origin unknown. Measure approx 1 5/8inch from end to end. Overlapping elongated leaves rise up on the ear-lobe. A round amethyst bead in gold mount dangles from the bottom at a level below the ear lobe. Look stunning when worn. The earrings do not have hallmarks, but are guarranteed to be gold. The clips on the back are later additions, but the rest of the earrings are original to the Victorian period. Good condition.
