Ultimate Art Nouveau Arts And Crafts lavalier style necklace. Original to the period - Made circa 1890. Unsigned but could easilly have been made by the Guild of Handicraft or other craftsman of the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau period. Total length with chain opened is over 17 inches. Distance from top of heart to bottom turquoise is approx 1 1/2 inches. Necklace is made of gilded metal, cabochon turquoise and fresh water pearls. The central section is a heart, twisted around curved foliage and with a round, high, cabochon turquoise in the center. This is attached by chains to two filigree set oval cabochon turquoise stones, the central swags with fresh water pearls in the middle of them. Suspended from the heart is a 4th turquoise, also set in scrolling gilt metal. Good condition.
