Antique, late Victorian Art Nouveau brooch / pin. Made of 14k gold and enamel. Made in the USA, circa 1900. Measures 1 3/4 inches long. Weighs 4.5grams. Brooch depicts 4 beautifully modelled mallards flying in a line. Green heads with golden beaks, turquoise or brown necks, pink bodies with wonderful gold highlights outlining feathers against dark wings. The birds are sensuous and elegant, in keeping with the Art Nouveau sensibility of the time. Hallmarked on the pin with maker's mark and 14k. Good condition. ENamel shows no loss/wear/restoration.
