A one of a kind masterpiece of the carvers art. A classic and masterfully carved antique view of Medusa / the Gorgons with their snake hair and wings. Beautifully surrounded by a twisted double row of seed pearls and a magnificent 14K gold frame. A truly incredible piece circa 1900 and in pristine condition. Little over 2 1/2'' tall and quite heavy. Probably done by Fortunato Pio Castellani Italian (1793-1865). A highlight piece in any collection.
