Pair of Georgian Garnet Cannetille Earrings Circa. 1800 British Cannetille is a style of jewelry, prevalent in the early 19th Century, where a gold wire is woven into a filigree form. This pair of earrings have the most wonderful cannetille work. 15K yellow gold, tested with 15K acid. 4 oval Pyrope Garnets, tested with refractive index liquid. 8 half pearls. All woven together with the most incredible cannetille work. Each earring measures 1 1/4 inches long with wire, and 1 inch long without wire. They are 3/8 inch wide, at their widest. 4.2 gr. 2.7 dwt. Closed back. In excellent original condition
