Pair of Sterling Silver Medallions With Copper and Chain Circa. 1900 Britain During the early 1900's, medallions were awarded in Britain for certain sporting competition. These medallions were often inscribed with details of the award. However, this pair of medallions, which both have a copper center detail, do not have any inscriptions. Firstly, the large medallion measures almost 2 inches high with bale, and 1 1/4 inches wide. The back has three hallmarks and space for inscription, if so desired. The smaller medallion is round, measuring 7/8 inch in diameter. Both sides of this medallion have detail work. One side has a copper detail in the center. The other side is all sterling silver. The chain is 24 inches without a catch. Both medallions are in pristine original condition. Total weight; 28.7 gr. 18.4 dwt
