Large irregular piece of mother of pearl carved or engraved with a scene of a man feeding birds in a country setting. The mount would be silver. This item could possibly be sailor art, shell scrimshaw. 19th century. Brooch measures 4.8 cm by 7.2 cm. The rear clasp pin is slightly bent, otherwise excellent condition.
