Beautiful antique Religious FIX pendant dated 1906. FIX is a French term for heavily gold applied jewelry items. FIX pieces were made during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Era from 1890-1920. The reason they marked the pieces FIX is because the gold was so heavily applied that unscrupulous individuals were selling these pieces as solid gold. It has maker's marks at the top of the loop. The obverse is artist signed in the lower left. The beautiful high relief sculpture portrait depicts Jesus Christ offering bread and wine to a child. It is in excellent condition measuring 29mm from the top loop to the bottom of the pendant, 22mm wide. Weight 3.2 grams. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #71894)
